This study found risk factors associated with suicide-related behaviour, including increased time spent on video and computer-based activities, reduced frequency of breakfast consumption, reduced sleep duration, lower participation in sports teams and substance misuse. These risk factors may serve as indicators for professionals working with the young people that they may need support and may be valuable in assessing positive change in response to supportive interventions.
